Amazon to Stock ASUS Eee Pad Transformer on June 2
Asus has a big hit on their hands with the Eee Pad Transformer. The tablet is up to the level of a certain tablet offering from Motorola – the XOOM – but it can get pretty hard securing your unit of the Eee Pad Transformer in the country. If you have been searching high and low for the tablet, you’ll be pleased to know that Amazon will stock the tablet by the dozens next week.
To be exact, Amazon will start selling the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, again, by the truckloads, starting on June 2. The 16GB and 32GB variants should supposedly cost $399 and $499, respectively. Yes, that’s a $100 less than Motorola Xoom (or $200, if you opt for 32GB) and same as the basic iPad 2 version – even though this one carries more internal storage.
For the abovementioned price, you’ll get a 10.1-inch IPS Touchscreen display, NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, 1GB RAM, dual cameras, 16GB or 32GB internal memory loaded with Android 3.0 goodness.
Can’t wait any longer and you simply have to have your dose of Eee Pad Transformer now? You can get it shipped to your doorstep in the next day or so if you shell out an additional 50 bucks.[via slashgear]
