Apple iPhone 5 has been confirmed now to be releasing on September 12th and it is being expected that the device would go on sale 1 week later after that. While the iPhone 5 still has some time left for its release date, it just wouldn’t be fair to ignore the freshly released Samsung Galaxy Note 2. So here it goes, a full head on comparison article between Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy 2.
Apart from the phone’s design, the part which makes it an attention grabber is its screen, and while iPhone 5′s predecessor were famous only because of the half eaten Apple logo on the back, the next gen iPhone is most probably going to be know for its larger 4 inch display which will most probably come with retina display technology on it.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, well it’s huge, I mean really huge. True, that the iPhone 5 would most probably have more pixel count and an insane pixel density, we don’t think it would stand anywhere near to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2′s 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display. After all, size does matter sometimes.
The iPhone 5′s processor is what you could call one of the biggest mysteries till yet, so far there have been only speculations going around that either the iPhone 5 would feature the same 1GHz Dual core A9 processor of the new iPad or will either go with the trend and make its debut with a quad core heart beating inside it.
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on the other hand, comes with a Exynos 4412 Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, meaning that it would be faster than most of the Android devices so far and all of the iPhones released so far.
Just like the phone itself, the iPhone 5′s tech specs are also based on a few rumors and currently those rumors point at 4G LTE, NFC, at least an 8MP rear and an much improved front camera, 1 GB RAM, multiple storage options(at least 16GB) with no choice of adding extra GBs through microSD card, iOS 6 and other standard features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 tech specs are more on the official side now, so we know each and every detail, however, just to keep the competition clean enough we are going to list only those categories which we know(or expect) in iPhone 5.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features 4G LTE, NFC, 8 MP rear and 1.9 MP front camera, 2GB RAM, internal storage of 16/32/64 GB which could be further complemented by 64GB more through a microSD card, Android 4.1 and all the other standard features.
From what is known so far, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 definitely has an upper hand in terms of tech specs and display size. However, for some people it is the quality that matters and not the quantity. These people probably own an iPhone 4S or iPhone 4 itself. The final decision is a tough one, but we’re going with Note 2, as it has more to offer for us.
