In an apparent ‘tit for tat’ move, Samsung has boldly demanded what no company has done before – asking Apple to share the prototype or final product of the iPhone 5 and the next gen iPad 3 with the legal representative of the company. This move was done possibly in response to earlier demand by Apple to see the slew of final and prototype products Samsung has under its sleeve – a move that has been granted by the Federal judge.
The courtroom battle between Apple and Samsung started when the Cupertino-based company accused Samsung of copying the design of its phones and tablets, as well as the UI. There have been endless bickering back and forth between the two companies ever since.
Samsung’s legal representative has set the middle of June as the deadline for Apple to come forth with their final product lineups to be examined by them. Failing that, the company will welcome the most current development of the devices.
While Apple did get its wish granted, partly because the products that Apple complained about have been officially released in the market, Samsung may not get the same treatment. Either way, it’s an interesting development and the results will be hard to predict. We’re hoping for a kiss and makeup ending though.
