Motorola DROID Bionic 5.9.905 OTA Update Finally Out in the Wild Motorola DROID BIONIC OTA update 171x300The Motorola DROID BIONIC for Verizon has finally received its 5.9.905 OTA update officially, for those keeping scores at home this is the same update which got leaked quite a few months ago.

The update makes a few adjustments to the software making it more user friendly, few of the most noticed changes include recalibrated volume of the call connect and disconnect tones, Improved Visual Voice Mail to ensure delivery of a notification to the Status Bar, etc.

The Motorola DROID Bionic 5.9.905 OTA update also reduces data stalls as a result of the 4G LTE connectivity gets improved drastically.

But here is where the good list ends. The update has a few downsides too for instance, if you are one of those people whose Motorola DROID runs on the 5.9.904 leak then this update is not for you, to get the 5.9.905 update you would have to go back to 5.9.902 (which is a real pain).

And even if you are already on 5.9.902 system then to get the OTA update it must be Stock, unmodified, and undebloated. However, it doesn’t matter if the device is rooted or not.
