Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR Maxx recently got the goodness of Ice Cream Sandwich through an OTA update. Even though the update was pulled out after a short span of time, the folks who received it listed a number of additional features which were added to their beloved Droid.
After the 4.0.4 update on Motorola Droid RAZR/RAZR Maxx users are reporting that their Droid has become much faster than before and handles multitasking much better. Users can now create folders which will contain shortcuts of their favorite apps just like in iOS.
Apart from faster browsing and customizable launch bar, after the OTA ICS update users will now be able to enjoy global roaming, a feature which will be loved by users who travel internationally. One of the most anticipated features which Droid was expected to have was face unlock and direct access from lock screen.
Even though not as good as S-voice or Siri, Motorola has successfully developed a voice input application which can write text or emails via speech. This function also allows you to add punctuation and edit mistakes according to the release.
Below is the official video from Motorola which gives us an insight to what this update really does.
The 354 MB takes around 20 to 70 minutes to download and an additional 15-20 minutes for installing the update. We strongly recommend you to charge your phone to at least 90% before updating because this update is a real battery drainer.
