Motorola DROID RAZR/RAZR MAXX Gets Another Leak, Stock Browser Replaced By Chrome?
Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX are undoubtedly one of the most famous Android smartphones available in the US market and it is often due to this popularity that we get to see leaks for DROID RAZR more frequent than other smartphones.
Recently, a new leak/update has surfaced out for Motorola DROID RAZR which goes by the version number 6.16.215. The update can be considered an important one as the baseband and kernel, both seem to be updated.
Users who have already flashed their Motorola DROID RAZR/RAZR MAXX have reported on many forums that their DROID RAZR is already seeing some improvements in terms of connectivity. The update also brings Google Chrome with itself. It is not yet confirmed by either Motorola or Google but there are two reasons which force us to believe that the stock browser on Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX will be replaced by Google Chrome.
Firstly, 2 weeks ago, Motorola Atrix HD leak surfaced out which revealed that the yet to be released handset will be featuring Google Chrome right out of the box. Second and the most important reason is now that Google owns Motorola. Therefore, it just makes sense for Motorola to use Chrome instead of the stock browser.
If you want to flash the 6.16.215 update on your Motorola DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX, you should be running on the stock 6.16.211. However, just in case if you need to go back to 6.16.211 then it can easily be done through the RSD Lite and the fastboot file which was leaked one week earlier.
