Waiting for Droid X2 to hit the shelves? Wait no more, because according to a leaked internal listing at Verizon the phone will be hitting the stores on May 26, with a direct fulfillment available on May 19 (coming Thursday).
The dual-core qHD is certainly anticipated by a lot of people, though Verizon does not seem much interested in doing an official launch of the phone, leaving it to people like us to report the launches.
Another leaked screenshot of the phone claimed its technical specifications such as 4.3″ qHD display, 1Ghz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 512 MB RAM, 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD recording and Adobe Flash Player 10 (well this one comes with every Android gadget).
The phone also has 1080p output, 8GB of internal storage, also comes with a pre-installed 8GB SD card and a 1540mAh battery (phone should have a decent battery backup). The Droid X2 will also come with the goodness of Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” (doesn’t make sense to use Froyo, does it?). The keyboard will also support Swype input.
Weighing only 155.07gm, and a screen resolution of 960x540px the X2 is sure to win some hearts. The phone is also only expected to come in black colour according to the screenshots, a different coloured version might be available later on.
This doesn’t end here, though, as there is one more leaked screenshot that confirms other technical specs such as dual LED flash, camera with continuous autofocus. The power is placed at the top center of the phone, and the volume control button at the right.
