Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 Already Getting Jelly Bean, Factory Images Released
Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7′s main selling point was that these devices are what most developers consider as “future proof”. Since the Nexus devices come directly from Google they are always the first devices to get the latest Android OS’s and updates, and this time it has been proved again.
Recently, Android v4.1.1 Jelly Bean images were released by Google allowing users to make their Nexus jump back to the same state as it came right out of the box or in simpler words the Jelly Bean images for Nexus devices would allow you to perform ‘factory reset’ just in case anything goes wrong while you ‘experiment’ with the new Jelly Bean on your Nexus.
As of now, the Jelly Bean images have been released only for a few selected models of the Nexus series and as for the other Nexus models, the Jelly Bean images are expected to release soon. Nexus S (i9020t, i9023, i9020a), Galaxy Nexus(yakju, takju) and then finally Nexus 7 (all); this is the list of models which got the Jelly Bean image.
The released Jelly Bean images are a good news to everyone particularly the ones who like to experiment with their Nexus device and usually end up with a booted device. The download link for Jelly Bean images for Nexus devices can be easily be found in the first few results (probably first) when Google’d “Jelly Bean for Nexus” or you could directly follow this link.
It goes without saying that it would be better to check out XDA before actually downloading the Jelly Bean images for your Nexus device just in case that the images have any sort of bug or has a common troubleshoot problem.
