Samsung Galaxy S 2 will have a Dual-Core SnapDragon Processor
The rumors about Samsung i9100 Galaxy S 2 are just pouring out like crazy and a full specifications sheet has been leaked about the phone. The latest rumor says that Samsung Galaxy S 2 will feature a dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon chip/processor.
The specs sheet released says that Galaxy S 2 will feature a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with WVGA (800×480) resolution, a 1.2 GHz SnapDragon processor (like in the HP TouchPad), 8MP camera with flash and will allow true (1080p) HD video recording at 30fps, 2MP front-facing camera for video calls, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth and a GPS (and much more). The battery backup for Galaxy S 2 has not been confirmed yet, but will probably not be less than 5hrs on 3G.
The availability of 4G in Samsung Galaxy S 2 is quite doubtful as there is no mention of 4G in the specs sheet according to the report. The report only suggests the availability of 2G, 3G, HSDPA and HSUPA for the new Galaxy S. The new phone may also feature Samsung’s own dual-core processor called ‘Orion’ instead of the rumored 1.2GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon.
The Galaxy S 2 will be released at the Mobile World Congress, and is also expected to release the new Galaxy Tab.
