Samsung Galaxy S3 currently comes with Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box which is good but not good enough to satisfy the Jelly Bean hunger which every Android user has. A similar case is also going on with Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note which currently sport Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung Galaxy S3 will be getting the long awaited Android 4.1 update in late Q3 or early Q4. Infact sources within Samsung claim that the update has already passed through the testing phase and now only the public builds are being assembled for further testing before rolling out the update to the Samsung Galaxy S3′s out there in the wild.
The Jelly Bean update is also scheduled to get to a few other devices by the end of Q4 which includes but not limited to Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note, for these Galaxy members, the update is still in the initial testing phase. However, experts are not denying the possibility that Samsung might roll out a “value pack” update instead of the expected Jelly Bean update. Nevertheless, we are pretty sure that Q4 will bring some important updates for Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy S2 users.
Rumors are also making rounds that the yet to be released Samsung Galaxy Note 2 might also get the goodness of Jelly Bean towards the end of the year.
It goes without saying that none of the above has been officially confirmed by Samsung, nothing is set in stone and as of now should be treated as a tasty Jelly Bean rumor because things might change in the coming few months.
