AT&T Rolls Out HSUPA Update for HTC Inspire 4G

AT&T Rolls Out HSUPA Update for HTC Inspire 4G Inspire 4G 300x211Calling all HTC Inspire 4G owners who have been waiting for the update that will finally enable HSUPA on your phone – AT&T and HTC are now officially rolling out the update via OTA.

These are just some of the things you can expect from the update. Apart from the increased data speed on the phone, you will get auto configuration settings for your Hotmail, Live and MSN email account. In addition, setting up your email on the HTC Inspire 4G will be a tad easier.

Checking if the update is already available for your device is as easy as going to Settings & About – and the 1.84.502.11 update should already be there. Some people have reported of not seeing the update yet, so you shouldn’t panic if you don’t see it there.

Meanwhile, people who have updated the device did notice some improvement to both their download and upload speed. Just make sure you reboot the device after updating the firmware.

It’s always the same – sometimes a product is pushed to the market even though it’s far from being flawless and fit for selling. But consumers lap it up anyway – what with most just can’t live without being the first one on the block to own the hottest gadget. In the case of the HTC Inspire 4G, as mentioned by Ubergizmo, the speed throttle was actually put in place by AT&T on the phone because their HSUPA network was still a work in progress back then.
