It looks like the iPod has not yet managed to kill off Sony’s Walkman series as Sony announced all new A, E and S series Walkmans today.
All three models feature Sony’s Clear Audio Technologies for the audiophile-pleasing sound quality that Sony PMPs are known for. Other features include a Kareoke Mode, a Language Learning Function and the SensMe feature.

The coolest model of the three – the A860 boasts Bluetooth and a 2.8 inch touch screen. It is the “The Walkman player of Audiophiles’ dreams, delivering the best-of-the-best audio experience“ as Sony puts it. This impressive Walkman will cost $179 and $219 for the 8GB and the 16GB models respectively.
The E-460 will reportedly come in five colors – black, red, blue, green and pink and will come in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB variants. The 4Gb variant will cost $79, while the 8GB and 16GB models will retail at $89 and $109 respectively. The third and last one – the S760BT boasts a longer battery life( up to 50 hours of music and 10 hours of video playback) and will come in only an 8Gb variant. It will cost $149 when the models are available this September.
