Verizon Galaxy Nexus Finally Getting Android 4.0.4?

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Finally Getting Android 4.0.4? Galaxy Nexus with Nexus logo and Verizon logo 300x204If rumors are to be believed then the Verizon Galaxy Nexus might get its long awaited Android 4.0.4 update on 22nd May. Verizon Galaxy Nexus users are currently stuck with 4.0.2. The device currently has a lot of bugs and it is expected that the update might fix them, even if not all at the very least, some of them. If the update is still a rumor then the owners would definitely be very disappointed and feel cheated as the Verizon Galaxy Nexus competitors got the Android 4.0.4 update months ago.

However heartbreaking, we must consider that Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.4 OTA update might just be a rumor considering the fact that a similar rumor broke out earlier this month about Verizon Galaxy Nexus getting the Android 4.0.4 OTA update but as it turns out, the update was only for the corporate handsets and not for the general handsets.

The OTA update which Verizon Galaxy Nexus got in its corporate handsets included faster boot time, louder in-call volume, a bump in signal strength and smoother transitions between 3G and 4G. So it would very safe to say that today’s update(If any) might get the above the fixes and maybe even more.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Finally Getting Android 4.0.4? galaxy nexus 4.0.4 300x192Verizon Galaxy Nexus currently comes with Android 4.0 ICS upgradable to 4.0.4, its lightning fast speed comes from its 1.2 GHZ dual core processor making it among one of the fastest Android phones out there in its price range. Verizon Galaxy Nexus comes in two versions (16 GB and 32 GB) while the RAM remains 1 GB in both the versions. What really shocked us was that even after having a front camera of only 5 MP the picture quality was just mind blowing and the zero shutter lag just added another star to its charms.

There is no doubt that Verizon Galaxy Nexus is a mind blowing smartphone but it has been almost six months since the launch of Verizon Galaxy Nexus and if Verizon isn’t planning to update the device now then when exactly are they are planning to do it?

Seriously!!! Come the f*** on Verizon! I was rooted, then I un-rooted so I could use Google Wallet and get the OTA updates. I’m SICK of waiting for this. I really hate that the release schedule is determined by the carriers and not Google.
