Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean update was originally expected only a few weeks after the official release of the handset, however, for some reason the update hit the devices starting today. Nevertheless, the OTA update bring with itself some stability improvements and of course the sweet taste of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Even though, a custom Jelly Bean ROM for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus was made available not too long ago, the official Jelly Bean update is a treat for those users who don’t like to go on the way which has rooting and unlocking the boot loaders as the milestones.
The official Jelly Bean update for Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus changes the build to JR003O and it is being reported by many users that the update is a little hard to get and most of the users had to download the ROM file and flash it themselves to get the update, whatever the case might be, we are happy that at least the update is now officially available.
If you are unable to get the Jelly Bean update on your Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus by diving into settings, follow the steps below.
Step 1–> Go to Settings>Apps>All
Step 2–> Find “Google Services Framework”, once found, choose “Force Stop” by tapping on it.
Step 3–> Choose “Clear Data”.
Step 4–> Go to the About page in settings and check for System update.
Apart from the problems faced while grabbing the update, there are also reports coming in that your Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus must be on WiFi before checking, else the update won’t even initiate. Be sure to comment when you grab the update on your Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and do tell us what new features it has and how Project Butter feels on it.
